This collection is titled Ruska.
Ruska is the Finnish word that refers to the natural phenomenon of how the leaves paint the forested landscape in autumn. I could not resist capturing the beauty of this moment. The Ruska season exhibits a tapestry of colours with an array of hues of green, auburn, blue, red, gold and purple. To authentically capture this explosion of colour, I created a one-time custom hand-mixed palette for these works.
This autumnal colour palette is exactly what I have been needing this time of year, especially as the sky gets darker and the grey starts to set in. I wish for these works to bring you a sense of peace inspired by this outstanding landscape and find a special spot in your home.
